Ski Trip

Ski Trip

On Monday I left for a ski trip at Mt Ruapehu. On the first day, I went to school for the first half of the day. Then, at midday, I went home to get all my gear and pack up some things. I went back to school, and we packed the gear into the vans, and left for a 5 and a half hour drive to the lodge.Image result for mount ruapehu

The next day we woke up early to get to the mountain on time. First we had an amazing breakfast of bacon, eggs and baked beans. Right after we left to the ski hire place and got our helmet and our ski pants. Then we went all the way up the mountain. Before anything we got our skis and our ski boots, and off we went! We all did some training, but some of us did it higher up because they had gone last year, or skied a lot. We all fell over. A lot. But it was  really fun. After practice, we had free skiing for the rest of the time. I started to get the hang of it but I wasn't amazing. We went back, after dropping our poles off, and went back down the mountain.

The next day, we didn't go up the mountain because the weather was bad. Instead we went to the pools, and hung out there. After, we went to Huka Falls and saw the dam opening. Later on we went on a small boat to see the falls up close. We went back and got home at about 8.30 PM.
